Professional Profile
Vivian Zottola, MSc, is an applied anthrozoologist, dog psychologist, author, and subject‑matter expert in canine behavior. She specializes in preventing and resolving behavior challenges between humans and their companion dogs, using calm, humane, science‑based support. Vivian is the author of two books and has co‑authored peer‑reviewed studies and multiple articles on canine behavior, human–dog relationships, and welfare‑centered training practices.

As a Research Associate with the Center for Canine Behavior Studies, Vivian blends scientific insight, real‑world experience, and clear communication to create practical educational tools and resources. Her work supports families, trainers, and veterinary professionals in building safer, more connected human–dog relationships, and she upholds the Joint Standards of Practice (JSOP) to ensure ethical, transparent, and humane care.
