About Vivian

Professional Profile

Vivian Zottola, MSc, is an applied anthrozoologist, dog psychologist, and subject matter expert in canine behavior. She specializes in the prevention and resolution of behavior challenges between humans and their companion dogs, with a focus on emotional attunement and humane, science‑based interventions. As a Research Associate with the Center for Canine Behavior Studies, Vivian blends scientific insight, lived experience, and empathy to develop collaborative educational tools and creative resources. Her work supports families, trainers, and veterinary professionals in fostering safer, more connected human–dog relationships, and she upholds the Joint Standards of Practice (JSOP) to ensure ethical, transparent, and humane care.
